Grrr, forgot my manners for a second. I downloaded it but didn't install it until tonight, and it still somehow didn't work, I'm going to have to try a different one from that list. Thanks again Charles, I figured you would be the person to ask for this sort of help:)

'Tis an honor to be of service. I hope one of them works out for you.

Is there an official itinerarium (aka itinerary) for the weekend? Meeting times and places? Or is it only Brainstorm and Wanted?

Anyone doing the parade on Sunday?

Will there be name tags at Brainstorm? We need name tags!

Are we there yet?

FYI, for those joining us for Wanted on Sunday after the con: it's playing at the "Muvico 18" (arriba!), which I can see from my hotel window right now. It's less than 2 blocks from the convention, so we won't even need cabs.

Also: if you buy a bunch of stuff at the con, and don't want to cart it around all day, let me know and you can leave it in my hotel room across the street. When you pick it up later, I promise not to say, "Shall I grab your package for you?"

Hey, to everyone going this weekend. Have a FABULOUS time! Buy lots of cheap comics, and have lots of Pride. Wish I could be there.

By the way, Joshua Hagler has a booth in the artist alley, #4502. Joshua's the creator of The Boy Who Made Silence, which is up to issue #4 now, and I think he's got copies of them all at his booth.

I ran into #1 last year at his booth -- it took awhile for him to get picked up and on a regular publishing schedule, but he's got them coming out monthly now. At the time, I fell in love with it immediately: the art is really different - kind of smudgy watercolors, and varying page layouts. And the story, about a boy in a small Texas town who nearly drowns, and wakes up deaf, but with a strange power, is really cool. Somehow, Joshua manages to really convey a sense of silence and stillness in his book, and it really struck me. #1 and #4 have that quality more; #2 and #3 focus more on the people in the town and how they are affected by the boy.

Anyway, if you appreciate the unconventional, and you're going to the con, look him up. He's a really nice guy (and very easy on the eyes). And if you're not going to the con, look up the issues. They may be hard to find, but they're well worth it.

I'm kind of excited about going to a theater named "Muvico". I'm sure I'll be screeching "MUVICO! ARRIBA ARRIBA!" from now until the movie.

But seriously, what showing is everyone planning to attend?

I think we'll have to find some sort of consensus on how soon folks are ready to leave on Sunday. The Sunday showings at the Muvico (arriba!) are (12:55), (1:45), (3:45), (4:30), 6:30, 7:15, 9:15, 10:00.

For myself, there's nothing that I desperately need to attend in the afternoon, and the 4:30 is a serious option. But other folks may want to do con things until it closes at 6:00, so we might have to hit the 6:30. We should be able to work out the details over the next couple of days.

It sounds like the Minneapolis crew is going to be mostly conned out for Sunday, and we'll be watching the parade instead.

Bummer!

BTW, for the folks going to the Ellis panel on Friday: it looks like there's actually 2 Ellis events. The first is the panel Friday night, 9:30, which has a cash bar -- not an open bar as I first thought. It's limited to the first 1500 people.

And then there is actually a second event on Saturday night that has the open bar, invitation only, for fans of his Whitechapel board and his online comic FreakAngel -- that conflicts with our podcast at Brainstorm. I did get an invitation, but of course I have someone -- I mean, something -- queer to do that evening.

Me three! So jealous. I want lots of pictures!

The good news is my work conference will be in Chicago next summer. If you get the dates for next summer's WWC let me know so I can plan!
