It's coming faster than go go boy on crystal meth....
WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO 2008.
Any out of towners coming into town to the big show? Any CBQ'ers wanna booze it up a bit?
If I get the time off, I think i'll stay closer to the heart of the the city so i get to get out and explore more and I'm not completely worn out by the long train ride. (can you really be exhausted by a train...?)

I'm coming, I've been pretty concrete about going since I haven't gone since 2001; which maybe is why it seems like it's taking forever for it to become June. Hopefully, I can find someone else that enjoys mixing Jager with random liquids to help me on my search for the perfect drink. |

it's during Pride weekend - so anyone for coming to Boystown for a bit on Sunday? Val and I will definitley be there Saturday and depending on if friends and/or family come into town for Pride we may or may not be there Sunday.
So if you wanna hang out for Chicago Pride give us a holla - last year Val hopped on the back of a Dyke on Bike's Harley and proceeded to severely burn her leg (there's still a scar) so we're sure to be a ton a fun and laughs!!
Is a queer goign to dress up this year?

I'm so disappointed they moved WWC to the end of June. I had every intention of going back out to Chicago but unfortunately I have a work-related conference the same week.As luck would have it my diocese is the host so I'm already committed to helping out. I'd love to see any of the gang in NYC in April, though!

I'll be in NYC. I think a night out with comic geeks at a trashy NYC bar would be FAB!

| Warren Ellis...my arch enemy; who always seems to get on titles I love and totally fuck them up for real reason except to be "edgy." Generation X was awful, X-Force was worse, and Thunderbolts..well it's not even Thunderbolts. |

Ah, but Transmetropolitan; Planetary; Crecy; the Authority; Doktor Sleepless...
Well, at the very least, then, I'd avoid his takes on books you like. He doesn't tell stories like other people do, there's no denying it.

| Man, that's the same weekend as Minneapolis Pride. Maybe I should get a Minneapolis crew together and hit Chicago for a long weekend. Split time between the con and Boystown. How far apart are they? |

| Aw, man, the convention is in Rosemont? It's just like Chicago TARDIS where getting between the hotel in Rosemont and into downtown is such a hassle. Heavy sigh. |

I know, I hate that they don't just have it in the city. It's usually pretty easy to get back and forth via the blue line, but not always, and it takes time.

Eric have they fixed those silly slow zones yet?
Last year Other Eric (where the hell is he lately?) and I stayed out near the Rosemount. It worked but it would have been nicer to stay in the city. Now the problem is that since it's Pride, finding something close to the Pride action that's easy to get in and out to WW. The airfare isn't too bad so far, but finding a place to stay on top of it is always my issue.
How many people are traveling into Chicago for either blessed events.
