After listening to you boys discuss Uncanny and now reading through the current plotline.... where do you think we are going? Is Nation X just the examination of the new landscape Scott's descion has put them in? Is it just foreplay before Second Coming and the return of Hope and Cable.? Also, how does Magneto fit into it? Is he truly there to support Scott since he's done almost exactly what Magento wanted to do (without conquoring the human race) or is he playing at something else? Is the Phoenix Force coming into play through this as well?

Lots of questions. It can be assumed that Hope's return and the Phoenix Force leaving the Cuckoos and Rachel Grey must be connected. Jean's appearence in the White Hot Room might have been random but what if that's the answer to the question at the heart of the Cable series. Jean is still in the White Hot Room and Hope is ...something else. Also on the Hope front, Magento seemed very surprised that Hope was alive. AND for a man that felt like he was a man in his twenties after the process to get his abilities back (High Evolutionary and such), he seemed pretty weak fighting the Predator X.

There's something else... Scott. He's one of the best leaders in the M U. He's been a soldier also as long as Captain America (minus the about 4 and half years that Cap was in WW2), but he's not listening to anyone that disagrees with him. In fact they get blocked out of the process. Xavier disagrees and gets shouted down. Hank disagrees and gets shut out to the point of leaving. Wolvine disagrees and gets sent off on crazy missions. It seems like there are a lot of enablers around him. I just wonder if the Void sliver isn't the only thing that's infiltrated the inner circle.

What thinkest you?

I personally have given up trying to guess what is going to happen. What with the second coming, necrosha and magneto storylines, there's too much up in the air. I honestly have no idea what Mr. Fraction is going to do.

I do like Nation X so far. The Magneto story really showed how Scott and Magneto's ideas for Mutant kind have joined. I am looking forward to see how Scott handles it when X-force inevitably becomes public to the other X-men. And as someone who was always annoyed by Professor X - I am delighted as to how Scott now treats him like shit.

I am not looking forward to the second coming story. So far this whole Messiah complex thing has been a complete waste of time. I have complete faith that they will totally mess it up. The only way I will be happy is if the following happens....

1 - Bishop dies. Once a character kills a billion humans, you are irredemable.
2 - Cable dies. I'm over this fucker too. Now that X-Man is back, who needs this techno organic dud.
3 - The real Jean Grey comes back. I don't want any of this Hope getting the phoenix force. Screw hope. I want Jean back. Can you imagine the bickering scenes between her and Emma? Oh, I would love it. And now that Scott's with Emma, Jean will finally be able to ride Logan's dick.

Yay!

I do imagine that Cable will end as a series. I do expect him to be in the new X-Force which will be post Yost. I can't see any way of redeeming Bishop unless he was right all along. THAT is the only way that he's redeemed. I do expect that Hope might be Bishop's Hope and not Cable's. Another big question is how will Fraction use the Phoenix force. Is he going his own way with it or will it build on Morrison's ideas. So far it looks like it 's going to build and correct some of the miss uses of it in a way that finally makes sense of the post Morrison Phoenix stories.

Please GOD do not pair Jean and Logan> GODS NO!!!!!!! I like the fact there's this strange unrequited dynamic between them. Besides, he's really beneath her. Maybe Emma will have to "sacrifice herself for Scott somehow and become the Phoenix and LEAVE THE PLANET. Jean can go back to being regular Jean again and become the head mistress to the next generation. Or maybe with Jean back, Emma will be freed up to ride Namor again.

I wonder about another associated matter. If Beast is exiting the X-Men, does that mean he may be rejoining the Avengers post-Seige? hmmmmmmm........

I really enjoyed the Nation-X X-Factor one shot. It was nice to see a lot of characters interact who haven't done so in a while, especially Longshot and Dazzler! The scenes between Rictor and Shatterstar were super cute too. I'd really love to see Peter David do some time on Uncanny.

I loved this one shot also,...Not much of a Peter David fan. Actually, that's an understatement. But I love CBQ. Keep up the good work!
