Disney bought Marvel!!!

I think this is a HUGE win for MARVEL.

Not only will their movies get more resources but their animation will get better too!

DC has some serious work to do to match what MARVEL STUDIOS is doing with comic book movie franchises.

Hopefully, Disney will help MARVEL to produce the movie versions of FANTASTIC FOUR and X-MEN closer to what we know they are.

The best thing to come out of this will be a seriously KICK-ASS AVENGERS movie!!!

All in all great news for MARVEL!

I've been waiting for this to happen actually. Disney has been dabbling with comic book properties for a while. With its acquisition of Crossgen properties a few years back and Touchstone playing with several movie titles of comic book origin. Its sad in a way as Marvel had no parent company and was one of the last major independant comic book publishers, but like we all know the world is big and bad and you need guys with bigger and badder sticks. Disney has a tremendous foreign market exposure which means more exposure for Marvel in over-sea markets. I think as long as they keep a hands off approach things will be well. And if Disney does start to meddle Marvel will get out somehow.

i would love it if the characters were featured at the parks. there would be nothing more fun than having a few drinks with storm, emma, and dazzler while we talk shit about the disney princesses. cause that ho cinderella acts like she owns disneyland!
