Every anouncment about this film makes me even more exited. I can't wait to find out about Cap. Hopefully the cast will be as good a pedigree as Thor and Ironman. (Granted most people have only seen Chris Hemsworth in 5 mins of Star Trek and that lame Mila Jokovich film but he's very nice to look at.)

Can't wait to see his costume and the trailers. Speaking of trailers where is a teaser for Iron Man? It's out in 7 months and we haven't seen anything.

Big news!!

1. There will be no Donald Blake in the film. Just Thor.

Okay, so what, right? Here's the really big news:

2. Jeremy Renner is in talks to be in Thor, and later Avengers. He's the star of The Hurt Locker. He's this guy...

He will be playing, this guy:

Yea, and he was also in The Unusuals, a quirky, short-lived NY cop show from last year. Great series, and he was great in it.

There seem to be mixed messages about Donald Blake; an article on Screen Rant covers them here: http://screenrant.com/thor-updates-kat-dennings-donald-blake-rob-35686/

With Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, and now Kat Dennings joining as her friend, I find it hard to believe that Blake isn't part of it. Maybe the confusion comes from Hemsworth playing both Thor and Blake? I don't know if that will be true, but we haven't heard of Blake being cast, and having the same guy in powered and unpowered forms would be less confusing to the average movie-goer than two different actors. It would also be more like the Ultimates Thor, who doesn't change forms, and the Marvel movies seem to be following the Ultimates line more.

Is it just me or does that costume not look really plastic-y? Like someone photoshopped his head on an action figure. Part of me was expecting it to look more like chainmail. Kudos on the Coipel look though. And the beard.

Totally! It looks like a comicon costume somewhat...
it should be a lot more chainmail for the arms...
and the round things on this torso.. they look like bottle caps or soemthing!
a bit disappointed with the costume.

I recall hearing that they were going for the whole "advanced technology" route with the Norse Gods in this anyway, so while I was surprised that the chain-mail looked so fake, I'm willing to wait until I see it in action before I say anything bad about it.

Also, hot DAMN does he look good there. Shocked

Overall I'm pretty psyched for this movie--between this and JMS and Fraction's take with the character, I've never been this excited about Thor since...well, ever, really.

That footage makes me wonder if they're going to go with the exiled god thingy where he's stuck on Midgard without memory of who he really is relying on the help of perky nurse Jane Foster to find his hammer and his destiny!

I can't stand ET or any popular entertainment journalism. Everybody's so happy and upbeat. It feels artificial.
