Does Lara Croft count as the Wonder Woman of the video game world?

Strong, independent woman with breasts? Check.

Also...

Does she count as a gay icon? Everything refers to her as a video game vixen or what but I've never heard gay icon.

Am I the only queer who is obsessed with Tomb Raider?
Or is every man obsessed with Lara straight?

Haha, join the club. I'm willing to sell some old video games for it. Thank god its only $30 on release date. Have you played through the entire first game? My first TR was II on PC (I was 9) and I picked up I on PSX for $2 this year for nostalgia. I've yet to complete it (its so strange playing it after experience Legend)

The shit your pants moment when you first see the T-Rex is my most vivid gaming memory. Laugh Out Loud

When I was a kid I turned off the music during the Opera House. It creeped me and my little brother out.

Those T-Rexes are crazy. You think you've jumped to safety, but NO. Poor Lara gets picked up by the crazy thing by the jaws as she screams helplessly.

I know she was one of my instances where I started questioning my sexuality...that and kinda weirded out that I was attracted to a video game character!!

You got that from a video game character? Cool!

I got my start from Brian Krakow on My So Called Life,

and from an Elastica video, called, appropriately enough, "Connection"; can't find the video online, but their "Waking Up" video has exactly the same significant shots. (I bet you can spot them...)

Elastica. You make me feel so old for remembering when Damon Albarn and Justine where the it couple. Crying or Very sad

I love Tomb Raider, it's the only game I really got into because it had everything in it. You were this hot, rich, intelligent woman with big guns blowing stuff up beating the shit out of everyone and solving puzzles. Then you stopped playing and realised you were a dumpy spotty little nerd fag with no friends.
Oh I love me some puberty!
The best part being you get to 22 and all the straight guys you fancied in school are now married, looking ancient, and quite frankly not that hot. And you're still rocking the nightclubs.

Yea, I hear that! Why anyone over 25 bothers showing their faces in public is beyond me. I mean, come on -- you get that old, and you should just spare everyone else the unsightly blemishes and work from home over a computer. Have some pity for the people around you, for gods' sake!

(Damn, where did I put my teeth.... They must be around here somewhere.) Old

She dated Brett from Suede, I remember that.

I think Tomb Raider basically let me control in my eyes a favorite of mine, Indiana Jones (was OBSESSED!) with a big tittied chicka!! I play it now and think 'this would never survive without it's history nowadays!'

Huh what? It "comes out" this Wednesday over here. Is the U.K. version released first because Core Design is U.K?

BUT

I did download and play the Lost Valley demo level for PC

So awesome! Too bad it ended right before the T-Rex fight...

I'm falling in love with Lara all over again.

I am ready to buy on Wednesday.
