I just got my ticket for New York Comic Con... professional pass no less!

I'm more of an indie kid so there's not too much there for me but it's the one con that people I work with go to, so it's nice to see them and be excited about comics. Plus it's totally insane! I always have fun (and I got the time off from work!!!) and it's SO diverse. After doing something like SPX where everyone's white, straight and socially awkward, NYCC is a breath of fresh air (well maybe nor the socially awkward part)

There is a couple panels that look interesting, like one on the women in queer comics.

Anyone here going?

While I can't attend, I'm suitably envious. You'll get to meet the Atomic Robo guys, Clevinger and Wegener, you lucky, lucky bastard.

I'm going on Friday and Saturday. I usually do my shopping on Friday so I can carry around all my crap, bring it home and then on Saturday hit the booths and panels.

Yay!

I'm really excited for this year's con!

And (fingers crossed) I'll be signing at the Prism Comics table too...

Enjoy Sabin! I'm so bummed I couldn't make it out there this year...there seems to be so many queer things going on!

Never fear though, PattyBoom is going to be there hanging out with Brenda & Laura from Geektress. I've told him to swing by the Prism booth....let me know either here or Facebook what time/when you'll be at their table!
