I am really shocked and saddened to hear this, but I understand that he had an 8 year battle with cancer. He defined my youth in comic fandom and I have noticed that when I draw, his influence shows.

I have to admit for awhile I was disappointed at his lack of actual comic book work. His production of seemingly endless covers for DC/Marvel postponed his own series work. Its a pity he never finished Soulfire, but at least he was able to draw his versions of the icons of the comic world.

Despite what anyone has to say about his character anatomy at times, he had his own style and sense of beauty in his characters. Lara Croft, Sara Pezzini, and Aspen Matthews. Those were MY wonder women.

Its really sad that we'll never see any more work from him again. What will happen to Aspen Comics without him...?
