Ugh ... I know its kinda of like being the last one to catch the bus, but wow this is just an amazing read i love love love it so much. I honestly have been craving a Movie , T.v. series, book like this for so long a time that i cant remeber when i gave up the mission to find one. Full of idealisme, angist, and unrelenting sarcasim. thanks CBQ forums for this book recomendation.

| Considering how Runaways has been lately, I wish the book would have ended at the end of that storyline. |

i don't think anyone would really have that much of an issue with joss whedon's run...if it came out regularly. i enjoy where he's taken the characters, but with so much time between issues, i've lost interest.

I agree for the most part, but Runaways normally has such a quick and easy sense of humor that seems a little forced with Joss. (which is odd since he's usually a master at that) But yes, it would be better if it came out regularly. Speaking of Whedon books being delayed... is Giant Size Astonishing actually set to come out this week as planned?

That is hard to hear, that the story might not be as up to par as it is in this first volume. I have no idea where the story goes from here since i have tried hard not to read anything about runaways untill after i get my next hard covers. but oneplace i would like to see it go is.... of course some more interaction with the rest of the marvel U specifically Molly and Wolverine (FYI Molly is almost the same person in personality, not in age, as my wife ). Anyway we will be trying out Nextwave: agents of Hate next, once we are done with these.

Just wanted to update you guys, we have just gotten through HC2 and 3 as well as up to issues 29. Love Loved the series. Now i can comment on the fact that i can see where Joss wants to take the characters and i agree it has loss and will lose some of its innocence, but I see it as a natural evalution of the team as well as the possiblities for more stories.I am of the opinion though that not all the stories that could be told with their more nieve personas.
I had a question , why is the transition from #24 and #25 not connected? The impression that i got after reading #24 Iron man Had the Runaways cornered, and some how they are in New York find and dandy.
I have looked this up on comic sites and it seems to be just something Joss didnt take care of or some have made up their own excuse that time has just passed and they got away some how. I guess the latter will have to do.

Good point there, what did happen with Iron Man?
p.s. I miss Adrian Alphona. He draws some of the best facial expressions in comics and his character designs were unique and fashionable. Wasn't he supposed to do some work on the Avengers? |
