Review: Steele Reads It* Trinity War Part 6!

*(So you don’t have to).

(Those are .gifs so I recommend clicking on them.)

I don’t mean that in a holy-crap-that-was-awesome way. I mean it in a I-don’t-understand-what-just-happened way. Where do I start?

Review: Steele Reads It!* Trinity War Part 5!

*(So you don’t have to).

We are in the home-stretch, CBQties. If you’ve been following my Trinity War recaps then you know that at first we met Pandora, next Superman killed a dude, then Waller made a chemical weapon,  the JLD got involved, and most recently Wonder Woman got possessed. Here we are at part 5 of 6 and it’s actually a pretty good issue. The art is great, the action is fast-paced, and the story really comes to a head…

Wonder Woman is possessed by Pandora’s Evil Box of Evil and… Read the rest of this entry →

Review: Steele Reads It!* Trinity War Part 4!

(*So you don’t have to.)

Welcome back! Where were we? Oh yes, Pandora fucked everyone over when she opened her box, Superman doused the Light, Amanda Waller has Firestorm make her a Kryptonite smoothie, then the Justice League Dark team get involved and gum up the works.   Now onto TRINITY WAR PART 4! It’s in JLA #7 if you care.

Guess what, Lex Luthor is in jail but his lawyers got all charges dropped. He thanks them by firing the firm. He is more interested in the headline that Superman is accused of manslaughter… Read the rest of this entry →

Review: Steele reads it* Trinity War Part 3!

(*So you don’t have to)

Trinity War: Part 3 of 6!

Because when you hear the word Trinity you immediately think of 6.

Previously in the War. Pandora is a bitch, Superman is a bastard, and Trevor is a Question.

So here we are in Justice League Dark #22. The art is by Mikel Janin and it is SO much better than the shit-show by Doug Mahnke in JLA #6. Okay kids, remember when Madame Xanadu’s International House of Psycakes was blown up? Guess what, she’s not dead. Not that anyone thought she would be.   Read the rest of this entry →

Review: Steele reads it!* Trinity War: Part 2

(*So you don’t have to.)

Previously in The Trinity War… Pandora fucked shit up for all mankind and got her own ongoing series – which I refuse to read. Then Superman got possessed and killed a dude in Justice League #22. Now onto to Part 2 in Justice League of America #6! This book is drawn by Doug Mahnke which means everyone suffers from same-face. The Pandora curse continues!

Everyone has same-face! #ArtFail

We begin with The Question trying to solve the riddle of what’s happening to Superman and this Pandora chick. Read the rest of this entry →

Review: Steele reads it!* Trinity War: Part 1

(*So you don’t have to.)

Let’s talk about what’s going on in the man of Steele’s apartment of solitude right now, July 23, at 7:43pm CDT.

1) I have a pork loin in the oven and laundry in the dryer.

2) I have consumed a half-bottle of $4.99 Barefoot Chardonnay in less than 20 minutes. (Thank heaven for 7-Eleven)

3) I picked up a huge ball of cat fur and put it in the recycling bin because the garbage can was a l l  t h e  w a y  o v e r  t h e r e.

Now I’m on the back porch with my jeans rolled up like Huck Finn and a stack of Trinity Wars by my side so let’s get started…

Previously on the DC’s The Trinity Wars. The House that Batman built remembered that the escape clause character PANDORA existed and decided to put her to (good) use. They gave us a quick but detailed back story on her and her dangerous box.

That was the prelude but this is the main event, starting in Justin League #22. This time I decided rather than read it twice then review it, that I would “live blog” it. Meaning I am typing as I am reading it for the first time. Let’s see what happens.

stevieD is joined by a round table of Wonder Woman know-it-alls….I mean fans, Brian Andersen, Darren Nowell, Randy Ham, and David Berger. The lads talk about what they do and don’t like about the latest Wonder Woman comics.
