Glen Weldon (author, blogger, podcaster) slums it with stevieD to talk about his book Superman: The Unauthorized Biography. The two queens dish about everything from super-hypnosis to Lois’ favorite pill-box hat!
And here, you will find the Tumblr Glen mentioned as a companion to the book.

Wherein we discuss Gail Simone’s latest entry into DC’s New 52. A tale of the 99% fighting back against the 1%.
Steele: Hey Saro. Happy Wednesday! So, we both read DC’s New 52 comic, The Movement. Written by Gail Simone and arted by Freddie Williams II. It’s a story about 6 super powered young activists, calling themselves “The Movement”, in a battle against the corrupt Coral City police department. What did you think of the first issue?
Sarospice: I think I’ve had more exciting bowel movements. Once again FAIL GAIL tries to jump onto “something” like the OCCUPY movement without an actual story to be told. The story is a heavy handed Swiss cheese of corrupt cops and teen titans warning everyone to leave them alone or they’ll post snarky memes on Facebook about them. It’s been done before, and better!
Steele: I didn’t hate it as much as you did but I did find it a little (well a lot) heavy handed. Read the rest of this entry →
Where TrannySpice, StevieDickme, and SteeleErection discuss Saga #12 and the infamous (non-issue) of the Apple ban plus Barbara Gordon’s roommate has a secret! What could it be? Find out on this episode of the CBQPodcast!
After receiving some geek gifts, Scavenger, SaroSpice, Legion Tony L, and Steele! talk gay, gay, and gay! The DC “iconic” main stream character would come out as a “male gay”. Who could it be?* Plus the Northstar Nuptials and which X-Man is trying to steal their gay thunder. Also we ask the ever pressing question: “is Doop gay?” and we ruminate on who should be gay and who should not. Also, what about trans characters. Hmmm. Lots to discuss…
*Spoiler alert, it’s Alan Scott the lavender lantern on Earth 2. Wait…Earth 2? All gays are now relegated to an alternate universe? We’ll see about that!
This C2E2 wrap-up features many firsts: Steele hosting, Steele editing, Steele wearing pants. Listen to StevieD, Tony LegionL, Steele, and Scavenger dish about the 2012 Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo. It’s so thorough it’s like you were there! So get in the cosplay mood, crack open a bottle of Peroni, and enjoy…
Some Gays be trippin’ about Wonder Woman up in here!
It’s required by law that, at least once a year, any podcasts having to do with comics and queerdom MUST record a show about Wonder Woman.
stevieD is joined by a round table of Wonder Woman know-it-alls….I mean fans, Brian Andersen, Darren Nowell, Randy Ham, and David Berger. The lads talk about what they do and don’t like about the latest Wonder Woman comics.
In an episode recorded several weeks ago!
The Qties decide to record on a Saturday morning so none of them are drunk (except Tony). The conversation starts out with stevieD, Tony, and PattyBoom talking about what they’ve been reading and their reaction to the Before Watchmen announcement. They are joined by Scavenger and Steele to further discuss books they’ve read.
Queers talking about comics! This is what you wanted, yes?
Queers…here is a treat for you, a double dose of CBQ in one!
stevieD finally cracked the code on downloading voice memos from his iPhone so you can now listen to the recordings he did months and months ago! Aren’t you lucky?
Up first, stevieD went to the Detroit Fanfare and now you can hear the only interview he did with Chad Sell! You can check out his websites here: Manta Man and Chad Sell Comics
And then listen to stevieD and TonyL talk about the final week of DCnU #1′s! They bitch..talk…about Teen Titans #1; Superman #1; Justice League Dark #1; and Aquaman #1
