L.A. is a war zone. Movie mogul Lotus Newmark is known around town as the not-so-secret head of “The Careless Memories”, the gang that controls the West Coast drug trade. Lately though, there’s a new lady in town:

Madame Masque, the leader of the Maggia, has come to claim L.A.’s criminal enterprise for herself. She operates out of The Church of The Poison Mind, and innocent people are being hurt in the crossfire.

THE SHROUD is going to put a stop to this gang war the only way he knows how:

By seizing control of both gangs himself!

With the help of his less-than-faithful lieutenants:

TIGRA, the were-woman; GYPSY MOTH, the psycho(kinetic); the perverse BROTHERS GRIMM; NEEDLE, the mute; and the TATTERDEMALION!

The Shroud will try to keep his city from falling to pieces. Everyone’s loyalty is suspect. Working THE NIGHT SHIFT is murder!
