The new Valiant relaunch has been really solid. I'm enjoying Harbinger, too, and Archer & Armstrong is great, too. I'm pleasantly surprised, because I didn't really enjoy any of these same titles back in the 1990s.

I like both titles, as well. Murphy gas a unique sketch style to his artwork, that I got hooked on in "punk rock Jesus". I haven't read X-anything since I was a kid, so this book is cool to me. I also like the New Avengers (so far) and dig the Valiant titles Bloodshot and Harbinger.

I liked them both as first issues.
I am a bit more interested in THE WAKE. I think they give you a bit more to get curious about.
BOTH OF THEM had weak art. Not terrible but weak.
I blame the inker on Copiel's stuff. We just know he's better than that on Storm's boobs.
The re-introduction of Jubilee is good, but most of these characters are being used somewhere else so for this title to keep my interest there has to be a reason for them to be here AND not contradict whats happening elsewhere.
I'd hate to see MARVEL ruin the great UNCANNY X-FORCE because Psylocke and Storm are running around in X-MEN.

My apologies for the really flat colouring job on Spark! It was my first attempt to color someone's art. I'll keep trying though!

Oh yeah, she was good to her vet! he called it that she would win. who was it that told her to stfu on untucked when she said it?
everything we need to learn about drag we learned from Ru...she said it over & over. CHARISMA, UNIQUENESS, NERVE, AND TALENT!! or was that a mantra of decades past? educate me. :)
i also hope roxxy learned a thing or two about herself. was not a fan of her snatch game. no.
thanks for posting that picture of jinhx she looks beautiful!!!

Editing her as having to defend herself against a clique (ROLAXATIVE) certainly won Jinkx a lot of followers because no one likes to see bullies. What won me was her commitment to doing LITTLE EDIE for SNATCH GAME and making everyone understand that little known character vs. Roxxy's choosing little known nobody TAMAR BRAXTON and not making anyone understand that. Then how Jinkx treated her Vet when he so obviously wanted someone to talk to. She showed a lot of heart and made it fun for him instead of (like some of the other girls) trying to outshine her "sister".

Roxxy is probably a sweet person but the way she deals with HER ISSUES isn't cute. Hopefully she sees that now.

And when it comes to AMERICA'S NEXT DRAG SUPERSTAR and following in Ru's heels it takes the cocktail of CHARISMA, UNIQUENESS, NERVE, AND TALENT and the next season of girls should come with it ALL not just beauty, comedy, body, or whatevah!

great post beeboo. It's true we read them on a daily basis but they all have my admiration and love. what's a drag show without having a read???!
I loved that the former winners were on-stage. yay!! love them! Leggs ave. heeheeheehee.
seems like there is the issue of "comedy" queens vs. beauty queens every season. just to more of a degree than others. depends on the queen. funny thing is I didn't see Jinhx as a comedy queen. I saw her as a grand personality that I wanted to know more about every episode. who says she isn't a beauty queen? she is beautiful! One thing that seems to follow the "beauty queens" is the bitchiness. I think it's insecurity. it's a shame really. they can sense that something is off with how others are viewing/judging them so they get defensive and attack.
I did feel for jinx having to defend herself every episode but hopefully it made her stronger. love this show!!

Girl, watched Ru with that juicer on the recap episode...thought those were weenies instead of carrots. you're saying "whaaa?"
can't wait to get the Ru game for my phone!
Please let jinxy win. please. please. please! then Alaska would be next. Roxxy is just out for me. by the end of the show she didn't have me rooting for her anymore. she became bitchy and had no identity of her own. Her glamour drag is not unique or special. she saw jinx as an easy target because she doesn't have the creativity to execute anything more than cookie cutter looks so clearly she didn't get jinx. she even seemed to turn on Alaska at the end. that's desperation, frustration and a whole lotta other ations. none of them good. :)
